I drove from Calgary to Lethbridge yesterday and decided to keep track of all the cool rides I saw along the way.
Hopefully I don’t miss any! Ferrari FF, Ferarri 458, Porsche Carrera(x3), Boxter(x4), ‘57 Chevy Gasser, Chevelle with blower, Maserati Quattroporte, Ford Falcon, Full restore F100, M3, Stingray (original), Stingray (new), F650, and a black everything r32.
Yesterday was a good day, I also need a dash cam!

I love long drives where there’s nothing to do but car spot. I drove my parents’ old F-150 to Alamosa for them on Saturday, which is about a 3.5 hour drive from where they live now. They’re retiring there next month. I didn’t see many cars worth mentioning, but I did see a huge brown bear on the way. That was the first time I’ve ever seen a bear in the wild, and I’ve lived in Colorado for 36 years. I’ve seen every other kind of wildlife but had never come across a bear. It was cool.
Oh, I did see a truckload of new Honda HR-V’s. It’s not a bad looking little vehicle.

I grew up in what is called “Canada’s Sarengeti” so bears where at least a monthly occurrence, we would never have snow days but there was bear days or cougar days where all the kids who walked to school had to either get a ride or wait until the bus’s could pick up everyone else after their usual route. They are awesome animals, watched one eat my lunch while I was tree planting one summer too.
Some of the new Honda’s are pretty slick looking, I think the new Civic SI’s look ahead of their time design wise.

Sounds like you saw some great stuff.
I did 820km over the weekend and saw some a few neat things, the coolest being a Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4. I also saw a broken-down Volvo 240 wagon being helped by a guy in a Saab 9-3, a beautiful blue VW Golf R, a big purple Chevelle (or something like it) and perhaps 1 million Subarus (which is normal, because I was in Vermont).
Because it’s Memorial Day weekend in the US, I also saw a bunch of biker rallies, one of which was unfortunately stopped on the Interstate for a downed rider. I didn’t take a close look as I went by but it seemed like he’d be OK, and help was already on the way.

I did!
You saw some sweet things too! Always wonder how more don’t fall when they are all riding in formation like that.

Doubled sided tape in an old GPS suction cup mount and your phone works for makeshift dashcams. You can also do a hyperlapse!

Damn, on 5 hours from Edmonton to Lethbridge about a month back all I saw was a 458 and an XJ.

Ya I likely won’t see much of that again.
OH YA THERE WAS A MONSTER TRUCK IN NANTON!

I passed 3 of these groups (including the stopped one), and their speeds were all over the place within the group. 50-65 MPH in a 65 zone, dangerous work getting by. And big, maybe 75 bikes?
They’re followed up by a state transport truck with flashing lights and an arrow, which makes things much safer.

The consellation for me was that just this morning I saw an F-Type V8S, and a JDM Evo IV.
Also, monster truck or extreme brodozer? The world may never know. It is Alberta after all.

Ah yes, the great bro truck nation. The number of lifted trucks I see on my walk home in downtown Calgary never fails to crack me up.
